Highlight of the week was by far the Jay Peak Skimo. Clearly most of my effort was focused on this weekend's races and the run/bike took a hit. These were my last skimo races of the season and I really wanted to do well, especially at Jay but also have a strong combined showing with Owl's Head.
A couple highlights from the midweek training included my first 400m workout. I was able to knock out 8 reps with equal distance recovery. I was trying to just hit 75s and get used to a quicker turnover. Expectations were low but I'm anticipating solid gains if I can continue getting one speed and one tempo workout each week this spring / summer.
