Recovery week bled over into a 'work' trip to CO. I headed to Durango with a few Fischer athletes and Matt Berkowitz to shoot video as well as a second shooter for product photos. I use work loosely because anytime you get to be outside in the mountains while getting paid, it's a good day. We stayed in a cabin up at Red Mountain Pass for three nights and were up from 6am to 9pm getting work done. Matt and I were only able to make a few turns but we lucked out on comfortable shooting weather plus the bluest skies I've ever seen. I was a little concerned that my fitness was going to take a hit after the travel and mellow days but it allowed my ankle to improve and I was still able to get in a really training on Sunday with a run / bike / run effort. From here on out it's going to be a grind to get in condition for my remaining races.
