Monday: Zero miles. Skied Empress and a couple runs in Tuckerman Ravine. It was a scheduled day off from running anyway.
Tuesday: Zero miles. Skied four runs in Tuckerman Ravine on a standout spring day. Tried to run to Yoga but laid down in bed for a minute and we all know how that ends. Drove to Yoga, was disappointed but it was much appreciated stretching the junk out of my calves.
Wednesday: 12.4 miles. Great run on my local dirt roads. Ran the first three with Hilary then just kept running.
Thursday: 9 miles. Commute to Run Strong (1 hr of Strength and Conditioning). Felt really strong on this run and in control for once.
Friday: 8 miles. Feeling it in my legs (Skied in the AM). Standard Downs road run.
Saturday: 21 miles. Kept talking up this run while spending the day out in Tuckerman Ravine. Skied three runs which made this difficult run even more tough. In a way it felt like a mini ultra. Super warm out and I was drinking from several streams along the way. The good news is that my body took it well. Minimal soreness or issues during or after the run. Good sign!
Sunday: 9 miles. Wrapping up the week with easy miles and felt ok.
Total Miles: 60 // 7,136'
Total Ski Vert: 20,000'
Busy week, but got it done. The week was consuming, 20k skiing, granted at a very relaxed pace, the legs felt it. Hoping to carry the momentum into next week but there's still skiing to be had which will slow things down. Not sure if I'm ready for workouts yet but that's the next step.
