Monday: ZERO. Day off anyway but taking it easy to work out this overuse injury that popped up last week. Noticed it aching on a few runs but nothing serious. Today was the first day where I noticed it not during a run.
Tuesday: May Day! Did a beast of a tour around Mount Washington - Linked up Huntington Ravine, Tuckerman Ravine, and Dodge's Drop with a trip to the summit. 7,300' in some heavy gear. It was Noah Howell's first time skiing in the Whites so we made sure to show him a good time. Skipped my Run Strong circuit training class.
Wednesday: Tuckerman Ravine. Casual day in the bowl with Hilary and Alex Leich. 5k' and after headed to the HS track for a workout. Legs were garbage so I just went easy for a couple miles then hopped in 6 x 400m @ 80s. Tristan Williams was there so I did a couple more with him and was able to work into 75s pace. Good to stack in that workout but smoked my quads.
Thursday: Run Strong Commute (9 miles) // Run Strong Circuit Training (1hr).
Friday: 6 Miles. Morning MTB followed by a massage. Working out the junk in my legs. Capped off the day with an easy run.
Saturday: AM - Hike up to Tuckerman Ravine (7 miles). PM - 16.5 mile run. Solid day.
Sunday: 10.5 Miles - Dirt roads.
Total: 46 Miles // 5,100' + 15k' (skiing, hiking, biking).
Overall it was another big week. Stacking efforts and trying to let the legs recover isn't easy. Just need to keep on it with the run schedule and not get too dinged up.
