What an impressive event. The fact that Killington pulled off a near flawless event (short on buses and bathrooms Day 1) for such a large crowd - they estimated that nearly 16,000 people showed up to watch the first day - is incredible. I was able to get media credentials and document both events from the race finish. I watched the first runs from the Grandstands - high energy and a great view of Preston's Pitch. The second runs I watched from the media section directly across from the JumboTron. The ladies put on a show that the East Coast was desperate for. I have vivid memories of hunting autographs down at Waterville Valley back in '91, the last time the World Cup was on the east coast. Hopefully with such a successful event they'll be back sooner than later! Here's a gallery from the event, video coming shortly.
